New wheels! APEX VS-5RS 19″ Satin Black BMW F87 M2 Competition

Hell yeah.

When I first bought my 2021 BMW M2 Competition, I thought the stock 788M wheels weren’t too bad. However, anyone that knows me, knows I’m allergic to stock wheels, I just don’t think a car ever really lives up to it’s full potential when the wheels are stock.  I’ve been looking around for quite a while on inspiration and had my eyes set on the APEX VS-5RS wheels for a while, but didn’t see any other F87 M2C that was Hockenheim Silver with Satin Black wheels. In fact, I couldn’t find any other M2 that had these wheels in Satin Black that had a decent photo,

I decided to go ahead and order these in 19″ since I am going to be keeping my factory 6 piston front and 4 piston rear BMW M2C big brakes. And I think it turned out pretty damn good! What do you think?

My wheel specs are as follows:

  • APEX VS-5RS 19×9.5″ +22 Front and 19×10.5″ +45 Rear
  • Michelin P4S 265/30/19 Front and 295/35/19 Rear

I originally ordered the +28 front, but changed it to +22 and I’m happy I did. They fit much better. I do have Bilstein PSS10 Coilovers with Vorshlag front camber plates, so the added front camber makes them fit just perfect since I have about 2.5″ of front negative camber.

The only thing I wanted was 285 rear but they were on backorder, so I did the 295. I think it’s fine, but a 265/295 stagger is a bit more than I wanted.

The 295s in the rear do look beefy though, check it out:

For those of you who aren’t sure what the BMW 788M wheels look like on the stock BMW M2 Competition, here is how my car looked before:

Well, I love how the car looks now, and I’m excited to keep modifying it. I’ll update this post later with some more photos, but if you have any questions or want to comment, I’d love to hear what you think in the section below!
